Ask the Senate to Include a $10 Billion Scholarship Tax Credit in the Reconciliation Package
The conversation around the revolutionary federal school choice proposal continues moving its way through Congress. Having passed the House a few weeks ago, it is now under consideration in the United States Senate, as part of the budget reconciliation package, aka The Big Beautiful Bill. We greatly appreciate the action you took at our urging when the House was focused on passing their version of the bill. Now, our aim shifts to the Senate, to ensure that the best possible version of a scholarship tax credit program is indeed adopted. (Click here to see a video update from Rabbi A.D. Motzen on where things currently stand.)
Two critical goals for our Senate-focused advocacy efforts are: increasing the allocation for the credit from the $5 billion budgeted by the House to the $10 billion originally proposed for the program; and extending the “sunset provision” (when the program will end) from the current House version’s four-year sunset to a ten-year sunset.
The time is NOW for all of us to contact our political representatives to drive home the importance of ensuring that school choice expansion is advanced in the best possible way.
PLEASE take one moment to TAKE ACTION below!
Thank you.
