Marylanders who have found that their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card was “hacked” and funds stolen can now recover some of the stolen funds. If you lost SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, aka Food Stamps) benefits due to fraud, visit https://dhs.maryland.gov/ebt-reimbursement/ and follow the instructions in order to recover your benefits.You can also visit your local DHS office to request assistance. If the theft occured before March 1st of this year, you have until May 31 to apply for recovery; if the theft was after March 1st, you have 45 days from the date you discovered the theft to apply.
